Older Adult Fitness Classes
Healthy Bones & Joints: Want to reduce the pain and stiffness of the joints? This class is for you! This class is designed for people with arthritis and other like conditions to help reduce those aches and pains. The ability to swim is not required to be able to enjoy this class. Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 8:00-9:00am Chair Exercise: Join Coral for basic sit and stand exercises. The class incorporates light weights and some walking. Blood pressure checks are done by the Old Town Medics during Thursday’s class. Coffee is served after class.
Tuesday & Thursday 8:30-9:30am
Senior Drums: Enter a new dimension of fitness. Feel and experience the pulsating rhythm, dynamic movements, and powerful percussions of this new moderate-energy program. It is a workout for the entire body, mind, and spirit! Friday 7:30-8:00am Senior Zumba: Ditch the workout, join the party! Zumba is a Latin-inspired, dance-fitness class that incorporates Latin and International music and dance movements, which create a dynamic, exciting, and effective fitness system!
Tuesday & Thursday 9:15-10:30
SilverSneakers® - Muscular Strength & Range of Movement: Have fun and move to the music though a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support. Monday & Wednesday 7:30-8:30am Yoga: Increase strength and flexibility while reducing stress in a standing/seated class. Use postures and breathing techniques to invigorate your body as well as your mind. Friday 8:15-8:45am
Pool Classes

Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 8:00-9:00am Aqua Jogging: This aerobic class will improve your cardiovascular health and muscle tone. Classes are held in shallow and deep water with a flotation belt to provide buoyancy where necessary. A variety of resistance tools or weights may be used to increase the aerobic activity as well as muscle conditioning. Monday, Wednesday, & Friday 6:00-7:00am; Tuesday & Thursday 7:30-8:30am Water Aerobics: This class includes low impact cardiovascular exercises with toning and strength training exercises. Movement is similar to land aerobics with reduced stress on joints. Participants use water-resistant equipment and/or weights to increase the aerobic activity and conditioning of muscles.
