Youth Sports
The Old Town Orono YMCA sports department offers a wide varitey of sport classes and leagues for people of all ages. The philosophy behind the programs that we offer, is to provide children and adults of all abiliities the chance to participate in sports in a safe, fun and exciting environment. Classes and Teams are set to teach children the tactics and skills of each sport while also learning the rules and traditions. During all sports programs we encourage demonstarte the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
CARING (heart red)
Congratulate your teammates/classmates, say positive things to teammates. Nice try!!
HONESTY (true blue)
Tell the truth, admit when you have done something wrong.
RESPECT (the golden rule)
Treat others as you wish to be treated yourself.
RESPONSIBILITY (to your environment)
Work with your teammates, cheer them on and do your best.

~season starts Tuesday August 17th and goes until the end of October
~practices will be 2 to 3 times per week for about 2 hours
~games on Saturdays against teams from the greater Bangor area
~REGISTRATION BEGINS JULY 12TH!!!!
Cost is $75 regardless of member or nonmember
Volunteers and Coaches needed!!!
No successful youth sports programs can be run without the volunteers to help each year. We need coaches (no expereince necessary), people to help with set up, and team parents. If you are interested in doing any of the above, please e-mail Brian Pordon at bpordonotoy@roadrunner.com to indicate what you would like to volunteer for.
